Netchemia Introduces SchoolRecruiter 3.0, an Applicant Tracking & Hiring Management System For K-12

11.09.2009 - PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS

Latest edition of SchoolRecruiter offers new communication and collaboration tools to streamline K-12 recruitment and hiring efforts, and identify highly qualified candidates.

With the national unemployment rate approaching 10 percent, K-12 educational organizations must keep up with a growing pool of applicants for new or vacant positions. Automated solutions that streamline the process are clearly the answer, however, budget-conscious administrators require a solution that not only meets specific K-12 hiring needs, but maximizes the total cost of ownership (TCO) as well. To meet these needs and more, Netchemia LLC, a provider of data-driven, on-demand management software solutions for K-12 school districts, today announces SchoolRecruiter™ 3.0, the newest version of its applicant tracking and hiring management system.

Designed specifically for K-12 education, SchoolRecruiter helps school districts of any size attract and hire high quality talent. The Internet-based software provides an innovative, easy-to-use system to manage all available positions and candidate information, from recruitment and screening to interviewing and hiring. By streamlining these processes and eliminating printing and mailing costs, districts can save several thousand dollars annually.

With the new SchoolRecruiter 3.0, K-12 administrators and staff can advance beyond applicant tracking to establish a two-way conversation with applicants and increase collaboration at all levels. SchoolRecruiter 3.0 features several new candidate customer service tools that save time for applicants and district staff, alike. Districts can now build and categorize banks of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to provide critical information to applicants while reducing staff time spent answering questions from multiple applicants. Candidates can also submit questions to the district via an online form to improve two-way communication and candidates’ satisfaction with the recruitment and hiring process. In addition, districts can use new job publicity tools to automatically send weekly alerts to candidates, and enable candidates to forward job openings to others.

In addition SchoolRecruiter 3.0 Professional Edition, a solution for larger districts or those with more complex hiring processes, includes several new features to help districts save time and resources. New screening tools enable districts to automatically identify highly qualified teacher candidates based on No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements. A newly created Document Library allows administrators and staff to easily post and share documents, such as application forms or interview guidelines, to eliminate the duplication of effort and increase consistency district-wide.

Both the Professional Edition and Essentials Edition, which is designed for smaller districts or larger districts wanting to start with a cost-effective solution, include the new TalentED Exchange, an exclusive human resources community where SchoolRecruiter customers can post questions and answers, and share documents and custom forms.
